SNAP Updates
Due to the federal government shutdown, People’s Community Action Corporation, (PCAC) was informed that as of the beginning of November 2025 SNAP benefits will possibly be delayed. We understand that means hundreds of thousands of St. Louis families are facing days of uncertainty over whether their SNAP benefits would arrive. While reduced payments are scheduled to resume at some point, the instability caused by this crisis remind us just how close many families are to hardship. In response, PCAC, as part of our mission , will be providing additional food distribution drives and a Turkey distribution drive to support those who face food insecurity. That include families with chronic illness, seniors, veterans, families suffering from mental illnesses and those with children.
